Hello,
Made the big mistake of loaning my old, hybrid (sears??) aircompressor to my brother in law. It fell over in his truck and broke a brass fitting that seems to function to turn the 220v electric motor on and off. The fitting goes into a black box with the guage and on/off switch and is labelled as Furnas Electric Cat No. 69WA107608 On 95 PSI off 125 PSI. Can anyone tell me where I could get the brass fitting that sets off the pressure switch or what its called? I've attached a photo. The motor is a 220v with a 3 way switch. How do I adapt to my new house's 4 way 220 line? Any and all help would be appreciated.

check with Ace,McMaster Carr,Granger or your favorite industrial/hardware supply outfit...Furnas is a supplier that makes parts for lots of manufacturers...shouldn't be a problem...btw,sears will want to tack their bit on TOP of regular price...should be cheaper elsewhere...

A few years ago my 23 year old craftsman compressor developed a leak from that fitting in the switch. Went to sears and tried to get just that part and they wouldnt do it. Said I had to buy the whole thing for 50 something bucks . I said no thanks.

Gregg: Cant help much on the elec part. sometimes instructions on elec. can lead to an unjury or such. I know the piece you speak of, it is in inself a switch. If you look there should be a plunger on the bottom that energizes the off on cycles. IMHO, I think you will end up replacing the whole limit swx, I dont know of anyplace you can buy just the one part. Time to look for brother-in-laws money cache. A universal one would probably work. Run anywhere from 30 to 50 bucks. Run the compressor number thru sears parts, check the prices there. Otherwise they are a pretty common item that can be readily purchased. Replace with the same operation PSA.
