I heard that these tools were made by Snap-On. Any truth to that? Any other information you would care to share about this? Thanks Joe

I have a bunch of these Blue point tools. They are made by Snap -On and I have found to be very good quality. The only difference seems to be they are not chromed like to commercial stuff. These tool are used every day in many auto plants, for on line jobs, where they might be used for years in the same job, thousands of times. They hold up very well. My 2c

Bluepoint is marketed by Snap-on. Usually in sets, as their economy line. Finish is more like an old SK or Craftsman. Have several end wrenches and sockets, and they see daily use. Snap-on used to market yet another general use tool called Par-X. Some snap-on dealers may warranty both with snap-on tools rather than get replacements, it depends on your dealer. And blue point gets put on a lot of the etc. tools they buy from outside suppliers. John in Ne.

I have some of each, Snap-On, Blue Point and Par-X. My Blue Point open end wrenches are old and give me the impression that Blue Point was at one time the top of the line.
Has anyone ever seen the Snap-On display at the air museum in OshKosh Wis.?
I also have antique Snap-On tools that I would like to pass to some deserving collector

Joe, I know that Snap-On uses the Blue Point name on the tools that they buy from outside suppliers, such as K-D, etc. I have Blue Point snap ring pliers that are identical to K-Ds. I have also heard that Snap-On makes some of their own tools that are marketed as Blue Point. I think these tools fall more into the "economy" class of tool. Probably to compete with Craftsman, Blackhawk and the like.

Joe: I dont know if snap-on makes these tools or not, but many years ago I used to buy my small ignition wrenches and other tools (Bluepoint) from snap-on. They seemed to be high quality, plus a very nice finish. and the ignition wrenches were thinner than regular ing. wrenches I had seen.
