From Yahoo finance: Tractor Supply Company is an operator of retail farm and ranch stores in the United States. Stores are located in the outlying towns of major metropolitan markets and in rural communities. Tractor Supply operates 323 stores in 28 states focusing on supplying products for the lifestyle needs of hobby and part-time farmers and ranchers. The Company also serves the maintenance needs of suburban customers, contractors and tradesmen. Tractor Supply focuses on the rural lifestyle with particular emphasis on customers who describe themselves as recreational farmers and ranchers.TSCO is a specialty retailer which supplies daily farming and maintenance needs of its target customers: hobby, part-time and full-time farmers and ranchers, as well as contractors, tradesmen and rural customers. For the 26 weeks ended 6/29/02, sales increased 36% to $585.9 million. Net income decreased 3% to $13.3 million. Revenues benefitted from higher comparable store sales. Net income was offset by increased S/G/A expenses due to pre-opening costs.

Wish I'd bought some of their stock last year!

Don't have any idea who is their supplier. I suspect that they take bids or get quotes. Each time the contract expires, the process repeats. So if we learn the name of their present supplier, it might be helpful for only a limited time. Is TSC owned by Wal-Mart?

It has to be a subdivision of Wally's.

Our local store opened up 5-6 years ago and was A-1 on selection and price. They finally run off all the middle age help that kept it clean and stocked and replaced them with Wally's and Micky D's reject teens and part time yuppie wimmin.

They don't have any stock now and the employees don't know whether to punt or pass.

LMAO. Naw I'm not a happy camper at Wally's place or TSC either. Then again what are you gonna do???

The tractor places around here geared up for super farmers and don't usually stock small equipment supplies.

Wally put all the Mom & Pop mercantile stores out of business here so if you want anything from a baseball cap to a pair of socks you have to go to Wally's and get it or drive 50 miles to a real town.
