Interesting comments on the previous oil subject. My question: Have always used A/C filters because I drive GM vehicles. Noticed WalMart does not sell A/C anymore but have their own brand, supertech I think? I eyeballed one of these and other than color, it appears to be an A/C filter.
Same design and letters stamped on gasket side of filter. Mostly what appears to be a double T??
Anyone have any information on the "store brand"
Whether it may or may not be A/C. I Thought I saw a similar posting as this before but cant remember where.

I cut apart about a dozen oil filters recently, all brands, looked at the bypass valve, and the paper, and how much paper, the good quality ones all looked about alike. Don't see a way to find out unless you inspect one. john in ne.

i've worked in a new car dealership for nine years there are a lot of junk filters out there i agree with former poster about cutting them open some are only cardboard and paper(orange) at the dealership only one out of fifty bad engines had an oem filter on it i realize a lack of oil changes is the main killer i don't think cheap filters do any good either
