I bought a large Quincy compressor from a drug dealer last spring. It is a model 340, which is a huge single stage model. It sits on a 120 gallon tank, and is rated at 40 cfm at 120 psi. It had a bad ten horsepower motor on it, so I bought a new motor, painted the unit and performed all the necessary PM type stuff...air filter, changed the oil, new belts, etc. The thing is absolutely the best money I ever spent. Runs quiet, has more than enough capacity to run a bead blast cabinet and all the air tools I own, and should last me forever. I had wanted a Quincy forever, so was very glad to get my hands on this one. Quincy compressors are made in Quincy Illinois to the best of my knowledge. They are the Rolls-Royce of air compressors. Mine weighs 1600 pounds and is built like a tank. Nothing else like one in my book. Enjoy your Quincy and all the best..... ...Greg

Oh, no no. This is a piece of junk, and to save you the headache, I'll be happy to dispose of it for you!

Nah, I found a old model 310 and love the thing. Their EXTREMELY well made pumps. Run very slow, are very quiet and will last FOREVER. Parts are pricy, but well worth fixing up (if it even needs fixed).

I think my buddy has a 210 in original condition, let me know if yours had been modified, is currently taken not completely assembled, whatever, and I'll do what I can from here to help, ie pictures of the thing or whatever.

Have fun, congrats on the find,

Farm Boy, I own several! Some have been in service for over 15 years in retail cleaning businesses. Can't say anything bad about them. I set them up to run continiously and are run in harsh enviroments (arond boilers and high humidity in MS). Mine are bigger than the one you mentioned but its a good product. Allways though they were made by Colt Industries and allways wondered if it was the same folks that made the fire arms. Dale

Hello,

I have an old Quincy sales catalog I bought on Ebay to help set up my Quincy, and it says the 210 is a single stage. With a 1 hp electric, 5.8 cubic feet displacement, 3.9 cubic feet free air, 90 - 100 Pounds pressure, 510 rpm. Or 1 1/2 hp electric, 9.2 displacement, 6.2 free, 90 - 100 psi, 810 rpm. Or 2 hp gas engine, 9.7 displacement, 6.5 free, 90 - 100 psi, 850 rpm.

I'm finishing rebuilding mine, ground crankshaft, and valve job, etc., and the parts are easy to find.

Hope this helps.

Quincy compressors are made just down the road from me.

I consider them the Cadillac of compressors. Lots of cast iron. Parts readily available. The price reflects that too, but you get what you pay for.

I'd wager the unit you have is well worth rebuilding or fixing up. Lucky you!!!

Quincy compressors are an extremely well built line.Company leans more toward commercial apps than homeowner types.Parts are normally available for units for many yrs.Model types are usually designated by "QTS","QR" or such, then number,See link attached...hope this helps
