Can anyone tell me what a gallon of dried Ready Mix would weigh? I want to fill my 55 gallon ballast box with cement. I don't want to much weight.I will be using this on a 25Hp John Deere 850 w/ cat 1 hitch. I was thinking a little less than 2/3 of barrel would do it. I want to figure out the weight befor I continue. Thanks Steve

Rocks, gravel, concrete, etc. weighs about 60-70 pounds per cubic foot. Why not use gravel and rocks? Cheaper than ready mix, and easy to adjust the weight as needed.

Hi Steve,

n/m is used as an abbreviation to indicate that there is "no message" to open...the answer to the previous poster's question is provided briefly in the "posted by" space along with the poster's name.

Yes, concrete weighs about 19 pounds per gallon...the answer to the question that was asked.
