Just went to Y/T auctons and saw a crazy explanation from a seller. Does his son want
to buy the equipment? I have gone to many auctions
where this has happened. It is legally and ethically wrong. I can not believe his response.
I bet he would be mad as h-ll if someone did this
crapp to him!!!

I see something is going on, but don't see any explinations or mention of a son? Looks like Kim has shut the deal down. Anyone care to explain it? My email works if you want to go that route.

Found all I need to know - Site Suggestions area.

Unfortunately this is such a common tactic at consignment auctions around my location that I don't even think about it any more.

Right. It protects the seller against taking a tremendous loss. The alternative is that the item never comes up for sale, you dont hear about it & never know how common the item is or its approx. value. Its just another way of doing business; like the man says "been around since the dawn of time".

It is called shill bidding and has been around since the dawn of time, like murder, prostitution, thievery and lying. It is reprehensible and his explanation is pure Bulls***!!!! Plus he has more than one shill in the family!! Guess his ID was very appropriate "The Outlaw". Says it all.

I saw that too. It was bad enough they pull that crap, not to mention try and justify it. Fella pulled that on ebay once, item sat with no bids all week in the last hour I placed a bid (w/limit) and in the next 10 mins my proxy was ran all the way up to the limit. Next day I receive a e-mail that the winner backed out and I could buy it at his price. Yea-right forward that along with a fairly nasty letter to ebay. Never did hear anything.
