Was thinking about getting one of those hand held impact drivers and some draglink sockets to help with some VERY stuck screws on an old Bosch Magneto. I see 1/2 and 3/8's inchers for sale, and alot of price difference between the SNAP-ONs and the cheapo's...which size is better/worse and is the Craftsman sears sells a fair one, or should I hold out and get a real good one?

I bought a Craftsman about 5 yrs ago to remove some small (Smaller than 1/4") hex socket head screws made of steel threaded & seized into aluminum. Only size the store had was 1/2"... turned out to be WAY too big for My application. By the time I put the socket adapters from the 1/2" drive down to the 1/4" drive there was too much slop in the joints. On some tough screws & bolts they work good because the force of the hammer drives them onto the head of the fastener.

I have a Craftsman that must be 20 years old now. No problems, works fine. However, it's been sitting on the shelf now that I have air tools.

Have owned a "cheapo" for several years and use it on the farm. Great tool for the ten or fifteen times a year I come across a frozen screw on machinery. Have had to replace bits from time to time as they wear and break, but nothing excessive.
