How do you re-supply the string on the Ryobi Weedeater?

I'm assuming you have the Speed-Spool. If so the trimmer head will be yellow. To replace the line you don't need to remove the spool from the machine. loosen the bump knob by turning it a couple of turns counter-clockwise.Look at the edge of the spool, and the side of the housing. You should see an arrow on each one. Align the arrows. Cut 2 pieces of trimmer line approximately 6 feet long. Insert the end of one line in one of the grommets Push it in until you can see it come out the hole near the center of the spool. pull about 1/4 inch through so it'll stay in place. Put the other line in the same way. Once the lines are in place rotate the spool in the housing, winding the line on the spool. There is an arrow showing the direction wind the line. I may be wrong but I think it's counter-clockwise. Stop winding when there is about 2 inches of line remaining. Tighten the bump knob and trim off the excess line.
If you have any more questions I'll be glad to try to answer them. Hope this helps
