I just bought one at a garage sale, it's missing a couple of parts. Anybody know a good source online to find parts? Is there any place that sells off old parts from discontinued models like this, i.e a surplus store? Or that maybe parts out old saws?

Hi
I need to get a chain oil filler cap (no longer supplied by Stihl) to replace one that was lost.

Still available please?

Do you still have your chain saw. I'm looking for a vent plug for the bar oil chain reservoir. It is parallel to the adjustment screw for the oil consumption. Can you help me?

Thanks,

Van Sayers

Where can I find a carbeurator/air filter white cover for a 031. It has a slot for the choke lever and a black knob to affix it to the saw as wellas vents on the side. It is somewhat "L" shaped.

Stihl doesn't allow the selling of parts online by dealers. Your local shop is your best bet, although there are people with stashes here and there. Try over on Arboristsite.com.

The dealers have had what I needed, but not at low cost. Sawmillers and pulpwood cutters usually know where used parts can be found. My guess is that the saw has some other problems not yet evident, so these missing parts may not be the end of the process. Good luck.
