I was given an old maytag washer that still works. Any of you guys ever turn one into a parts washer? Thought I heard of that once. I have seen the mechanisium used as a beer can crusher, pretty cool! Thanks Ted

Check what it is worth to the local Antique store first.
You might get enough to buy a parts washer.
Or at least a few gallons of cleaning fluid.

I am a appliance repairman and I have seen those old ringer washer used for everything from flower pots to smokers. they will work as a parts washer , but not for long as the solvents generally eat the seals. and the agitator is in the way. They are great for washing greasy rags and such though....Jim

I see lots of guys use them to wash their shop rags and greasy clothes in so they don't get the wifes stuff messed up.
