Pickup cab mounts shot?

ive got an 89 chevy 6 lug 3/4 ton and the rear of the cab is about an inch lower than the bed i put a juck under the mount and jacked it up so it just looks like it is sagging a little bit. is this unsafe to drive or hard to fix at all. it just really bugs meto look at it and see it all not match up. thanks

You will probably find that the rubber part of the mount has started to collapse. Your sag is probably more prevalent on the drivers side. The rubber mounts can be replaced. There is a bolt that runs up through the center of the mount that has to be removed then you can replace the rubber. The rubber mounts should be available from Chev.

ya but probably not a chevy ha ha , i don,t think its all that dangerous to run it like that but as with anything,its there for a reason an there not that hard to replace so i would,

If the mount is rusted out,it will let the cab fall...J.C.Whitney has the parts to fix this problem.
