Well I picked up the Stihl FS80 weedtrimmer today. What a great machine. I figured I would give it a test befor the rain. I fired it up and wacked the heck out of an old so called "flower garden" that needed help. It was just an overgrown mess of weeds and a couple of purple things. My wife had a different opinion. The purple things were her Bleeding hearts. Some kind of flower.Who would have known?

I cleared out an area near the house with my Stihl trimmer yesterday. I thought my wife would be happy that she could finish her mulching with wood chips. Well it seems that amongst those weeds I took out something called a burning bush. Like I could tell the difference or something. Sometimes you just can't win.

Sounds like my wife's "herb garden". Didn't know ragweeds and thistles were herbs.

Fortunately, she put a row of rocks all around it, so's even a dummy like me could recognize it...

Happens to all of us when we get a new trimmer. Now if we could make a line that could tell the difference between flowers and weeds we could retire tomorrow. Enjoy!

Little tip: stick with the Stihl trimmer line... its the best stuff I've ever used. I've been working on one 1.5lb spool for two years. I just have a small FS44 for general trimming but its a little short on sprouts and such. Never disappoints tho... always starts up.
