I just bought a IH SW6 with a stuck motor. I've got the head off and have been soaking it with PB Blaster for 4 days with no results. Now looking at it ,it seens to have corroded aluminum [it has Al pistons]between the sleeve and the piston. Any good ideas on how to free it up? Thanks

I had one that was stuck due to mice living in the manifold and using the open valves as their bathroom. The acids had severely corroded the (replacement) aluminum pistons in that engine. I got the worst one by beating on it with big hammer and cold chisel until I removed enough material that it loosened. The corrosion in that one was so bad the swelling had cracked the sleeve. I have since found that a very light oil works better on corroded aluminum than the penetrants. I think maybe if the alumuminum is corroded enough to be stuck, it may be ruined. Good luck.

I always use transmission fluid to unstick them usually have head on engine though and have done several this way including a diesel and a couple gas engines I usully let them soak a week or so then try turning engine with big socket on crank pully nut.
