On the lastest 2 gallons of Fast Orange, the dispenser pumps failed before the container was half empty. The stuff is not convenient to use without the pump. What is your experience with these pumps? Your suggestions for using the remaining material without the pump?

I got a gallon jug from Sams a year or so ago and the pump doesn't want to bring the stuff up anymore either so what I do is I put my finger over the end of the pump when I pull the pump back up and then it primes it for another squirt. I suppose it is possible it needs stirred back up but this method is working fine for me.

seems like maybe the pumice is settling out... That'd plug 'er. I wonder if you gave it a good shake it'd fix it?

The best hand cleaner I've found is Cheer or Tide or Surf Laundry Detergent. It cleans up that realy sticky old grease and because it has water softeners built in it leaves your hands soft. Try it-just a pinch will do.

When I was a kid, my father would mix laundry detergent with corn meal. The corn meal really helps get the detergent down in the hard to get to spots. Always kept a jar full under the kitchen sink. Best hand cleaner I ever used.

I've had a couple 'Orange' pumps clog up...but not 'fail'.

I just cleaned the pump out with water, shook the jug up again so it was well mixed and everythings been fine since. Have used it for years.

Dawn dishwashing detergent is pretty strong stuff... it's what you use when you want to strip all the wax off your car.

I dunno what the one I use is, I thought it was fast orange, smells like orange anyway. Comes in tubs, and other than the fact that the tub gets FILTHY I like just dippin in to get some.

The best hand cleaner I've found is a hamburger and fries. I can clean my mitts with everything in the shop, and still have some in the corners of my nails and such. Go to lunch and eat a greasy burger and fries, and my hands are spotless.

Nolan,

My personal favorite is Chicken Grease. Nothing like it to remove the hard to get grime!

We buy the Fast Orange in the smaller bottles that you squeeze, and we like it OK. Like T_Bone said, Dawn works really well; we like it, too! And it doesn't leave gritty residue in the sink.

The best hand cleaner that I have found is from the Dollar General Stores . Permatex brand and another brand they sell that is similar . Both are a dollar and work real well . I keep a can in my truck along with paper towels at all times .

Anyone tired Dawn dishwashing soap? That works better than any hand cleaner I've found.

And it helps you find all those cuts you had forgotten about.

I think it's the abrasive in Fast Orange that
shortens the pump life, mine just quit. I cut
the jug in half and turned the upper half upside
down so the remaining cleaner won't dry out till
I finish using it up. Works OK for me.

I have tried FastOrange, but find that it is very hard on my hands--Makes them itch like fire! I have had better luck with Goop, and the despenser has worked fine for a couple of big containers.

I get the FastOrange smooth without the pumice and it is not near as gritty or makes you itch so bad. Also it seem to be easier on the pumps and have not had near the problem losing the pumps. Problem is that it is getting hard to find that kind of FastOrange, you really have to look for it anymore. Wish they would make more of it. Anyone got a good supplier??

I have not had the pump fail but you could empty contents in a covered plastic butter dish or something like this and just scoop it out to use.
I use GOJO hand cleaner when my hands are very greasy or oily, cuts the grease better, this comes in a plastic container just scoop it out with your hand and use.

I have used the Fast Orange for a while now and I prefer it over anything else I have used before. I have had two of the pumps go bad also and left me holding the container upside down to try and get it out. I am too cheep to simply throw it away and buy another bottle, even though it is only $5. Only other thing I have seen is to get your pocket knife out and cut a hand hole in the side of the container. When you stick your hand in, it comes out perfectly coated with cleaner !

I use Fast Orange probably more than anyone. I use it on me, clothes machines, etc. I had my "Pumps " fail all the time, what I do now is to cut the container near the level of the cleaner and just dip in my hands as needed. Then I by another container which will be coming up soon!
