Approx. 2 yrs. ago I exchanged my personal oxy bottle with AirLiquide for a refill. Seems I failed to pay attn. to detail & AL gave me back an AL cyl. Now I am out of oxy and gas man (Holox) won't fill/exchange due to cyl. being AL's.

How do I convince AL that a mistake was made I need a customer owned oxy cylinder back. Their website and customer service ctr. leave alot to be desired. Desperately seeking reciept & Frustrated in FL!
Thx

I suppose it won't hurt to ask, but basically you don't own a tank any more - they gotcha.

I lent out an O2 cylinder to a friend who went to get it refilled, for got to tell them it was customer owned. I asked to get it returned asI knew the serial number and it was stamped PTY OF PJM. (I worked at cylinder manufacturing plant )That was about 6 years ago and I am still waiting.

Hi Shep,

Thats a plan the gas suppliers have been working on for a long time. You now have to buy gas from them as no one will fill anothers cylinder. I give up my titled cylinders 12yrs ago rather than pay a deposit. I guess it won't matter as long as I never leave here.

Same thing is happening to propane and thats part of the new laws on propane I think that will be anounced next year. I asked what if your traveling in an RV to another state and that company doesn't sell LP there? The supplier just shrudged his shoulders. Yep I bet we get hit with an exchange fee then get hit again with another fee when we return to our home area. Then watch the price of LP go out of sight.

I really doubt they'll even look for your cylinder even when it comes in to be recertified. You might ask tho.
