Hey,

I got a fairly new lawnmower that is putting out white smoke when I start it. What gives and what should I do?

Jay I had a 11HP that did it from new, ran it for 11 years and sold it, still running as far as I know. Just keep eye on oil level a while.

The cause it oil seeping into the cylinder when it's sitting. No big deal. I have a mower with a Briggs industrial engine that's always done that.

Just to be on the safe side, check your oil level. Overheating can sometimes cause the smoke, or cause the rings to get worn too fast.
