When I built the ladder to the hay loft in my barn, I intentionally left it a couple inches short of grade, as I intended to pour a concrete pad for it to sit on.

Got home from work, and there was a Ready Mix truck parked next door. Yakked at them and told 'em when they was ready to clean 'er out, I could use a couple or three five gallon buckets worth of leavings.

Whipped up a form, and when they was done, they poured me a tractor loader full, and I trundled down and poured the pad for my ladder. Total investment in time, about 1/2 hour. No chahge for the cee-ment, and the best part of it is, it came from a load that that low life real-estate selling slumlord next to me paid for!

Life is, on occasion, sweet...
