The lead story in the South Bend Trib this morning is South Bend Lathe getting evicted from their building for owing over $100,000 back rent. They are shut down at the moment but are hoping to regroup (again) and reopen. The story said they are down from a high of 200+ employees to currently employing 35. Sad. I hope they do get going again.

This is what happens when we have NO control over equip. being imported into this country. When are we going to WAKE UP. They are stealing from us.You can't buy hardly anything that doesn't say MADE IN CHINA. Just my 2 cents. I feel better now. Earl

I agree with you regarding the asian market threat. Most of the machinery is junk. I do have to make an exception tho' some of the Japanese machinery is excellent. Also, very high quality equipment comes from Germany, Switzerland, and etc.

Richard, I am in the automotive aftermarket. When I talk to the import manufactures they tell me we can compete better than we are doing, but we have too many middle man from manufacture to consumer?EARL
