Does any one know anything about an older hobart welder/gen with an 4 cylinder wisconsin engine. The welder/gen is not working. I can get for a good price.

Can't tell you if it is worth picking up or not but Dad had one when I was a kid. It was a real good machine and the one that I learned to weld on. Brings back some memories.

Depending upon what's wrong with it, it may or may not be worth carting home at any price. Best thing to do is get the model and serial numbers then call Hobart and see what, if any, parts are still available & their costs, as well as service/parts manuals. Once you know this, you then have more information to go on rather than jumping in blind.
