Has anybody found a reasonably priced source for replacement tines for a Troy Bilt tiller? My local lawn & garden dealer wants $106 for a set & the NAPA store said $100. A few years ago they were around $50. Guess I should have got 'em then!

Ralph, I have a friend who got a thin set of leaf springs about 1/4" thick, and welded about a 3 or 4 inch piece of the spring to each tine, hasn't had any tines wear out since. If your tines are just wore, I'd give this a try.

Are you sure you need them?! I thought mine were worn because I thought they were leaving a little wider untilled path down the center. When I got the new ones, they were the same shape! And I have been torturing that little 4hp unit for 11 years with only one axle seal replaced - under warrantee.

I put the new tines on tonight and most of the old ones were around an inch shorter than the new ones.

Thanks for your responses. Went to the Lowes store and bought a set of genuine Troy Bilt tines with hardware for the Horse & Pony models for $74 + tax. The same thing on Ebay is going for nearly $70 plus shipping.

The box says these will also fit some other brands so Ray P you might want to check them out. These tines have 3 holes. If you need the spacing I can get it for you.

I could use a source of tines for my John Deere hydraulic drive tiller and my Arens self propelled tiller too!

I found this in my search for Husqvarna tines. They didn't have mine, but maybe they have yours.
