I usually like to use P'blaster but I heard recently that it corrodes aluminum. Is this true??

What I use allot of is the product that works like magic on rusty bolts and nuts, etc. I have used it on almost anything and seems to work great, I also have used WD-40 but without the greatest of results.

If by P'blaster you mean a PB Blaster product, PB Blaster makes a lot of different items. Or do you mean power blaster?

What I can tell you is compounds that are even mildly base/caustic are very corrosive to aluminum. Most alloys of aluminum can tolerate periodic exposure to moderately acidic compounds, but depending on the compound, and its PH, some amount of base metal will be removed. The PB Blaster website has their MSDS forms. These show the formulation and PH of all their products. I hope this is the information you were looking for...Al English
