Can anyone tell me before I start the job, is it easy to change a crankshaft(bent) for a 3.5HP B&S
90802 engine. ie Nothing to trip me up.
I was planning on removing crankcase bottom, un-doing big end bolts, removing flywheel, removing crankshaft out the bottom and reverse to fit new one. I guess just be careful to keep timing in the right place ie Top dead centre.

Make sure you line the timing marks up correctly for the camshaft. Jim

Its not that hard I'm only familiar with the 5 hp horizontal shaft engines but there mostly the same you mite wont to have someone put a new bearing on the new crank if you don’t have a press good luck Rod MI

There is a tool for straightening crankshaft in the engine. I made one several years ago as a copy from a manufactured one

Fairly simple engine, only thing that might trip you up is fly wheel removal if you don't have the right tools. Just be careful you don't bend something. Have fun
