Hello, I need a recommendation on what HVLP paint setup is good. I need to regularly paint 4-6 tractor parts. What is a good gun, and what type of compressor will I need. Iam toatally new to HVLP painting (currently using aerosal spray cans) Thank you for any help.

I have found that the Devilbiss Finishline II gravity fed gun is the best value for the price. There are other more expensive guns that I use, but for you they may be overkill. The compressor situation is another ballgame, though. A small compressor will be able to keep up the pressure when only painting small areas or parts. If you are intending to paint an entire tractor that small compressor will not be able to keep up and the gun will not be able to properly atomize the paint. Result: orange peel and/or runs. I forget what the CFM requirements are for the Finishline, but find out what they are and buy the compressor that will fit those requirements.
