Sorry for the off-topic, but I'm sure others of you must have this problem. Any time we get a heavy rain here the earthworms seem to swarm to high ground to get away from the water. High ground around my shop IS the shop. They crawl under the doors and then end up dried out and dead all over the shop floor. Anybody got any fixes to the problem?

I'm guessin ya cant improve the drainage around the shop. Might try leaving a lite on inside during storms. or
They are just lookin for a good time, I would experimenmt. Get some old clean moistened cloths or maybe thin moist cardboard and pile some moist (not dripping wet) spaghum peat on it a couple inches thick where you think they come in and you can share these worms with your fishin' buddies, or eat them yourself, lotsa protien there.

have you tried putting rubber strips on the bottom of your doors to seal them better?, I'd try cutting up an old inner tube and nailing it to the bottom of the door. I wouldn't use salt if I had a cement floor because the salt would eat the floor.
good luck,
Jonathan

I agree with the salt idea. We use Morton table salt to drive away the slugs. It should also work for worms.

Bob, Recycle,It's a trade off.
I let my chickens in the shop.
They eat the worms and leave chicken droppins.
I eat eggs till they stop laying,
then I eat chicken.
I sweep the dropings out to the garden.
so I have vegtables with my chicken "n" eggs.
