It's always darkest before the dawn.....I always liked situations like that.....cause I knew that something good was about to come along.....whenever someone else commented on how bad my luck was, I just smiled and said "some peoples children have all the luck." It seems that you must maintain a good attitude or it will crumble. Go to a strange place for a day or two (like a mini vacation) and your priorities will fall right into alignment when you think about them.....Fred Martin, Greenfield, Ohio

Well I don't know where you live, buy here in New England the warm weather is about here, and the living is easy now till fall. By then even I could probably find time to deal with most of what you mention. The rest will wait. As mentioned , sometimes if you let it set for a while you get a better idea of how to deal with it. And a bear or two always helps, expecially at the end of the day.

You're in great company, I feel like the world is falling apart at times. Keeps me
busy especially with the old equipment I have.
I wait for healing on some of my stuff too!
Still waiting!

Mr. S.; don't take our joshin' to heart, just tryin to lift you outa the dumps, whenever things seem the worst, well, they generaly are....no no thats not what I mean, hang in there, us loonies are all behind ya, from here, all we can do is cheer you on with moral support, even if it does seem a bit flippant, [saw that word on the cornflakes box this morning]. So, have a gooder, and like I said before, if you need someone to sort out the priorities..... .maybe ask someone with a little more inteligence.....have a gooder,R.E.L.

I always like to give stuff a little time to heal before I attempt to repair it. I'm letting a couple of items rest right now.

What I really hate is when it won't heal and I have to fix it two or three times before the problem goes away.

I feel your pain. Sometimes it seems like I'm working for my labor saving devices rather than them working for me. Right now my limbing chainsaw is apart, my truck's exhaust is leaking, my wife's car is due for a camshaft belt, the tracks on my pole building door need adjustment, and I can't find my metric allen wrenches. I haven't tried this, but how about moving where the weather is warm, the women are all pretty, the welfare benefits are good, and leave all this mess behind. If it works out, let me know...Al English

I think the only real problem you have is time. the problem i have is that the things i need to work on other things with are broken. the other problem i have is focus. which thing do i work on first?

Thats easy to figure our what to fix first, the pool...you must have some place to sit with a tall cold one to drown your sorrows, can't do that around a broken pool! Next, grab the fishen pole, and head for the favorite spot....rippen the lips off a few fish always makes things look better. Then fix the quad, never know when you will feel like more lip-rippen. The garden? forget it, just means weedin' and hillen and such, too much work. House? trade some of the busted stuff off on a good tent, but don't put it up too close to the house, it might fall on it. If you ever need any more priority sorten', just give a hollar, "might not find me handsome but you will find me handy"! Have a gooder, R.E.L.

Yup, me an ole Red go back a long ways, he and my wifes brother-in-law were once twice removed, from the same bar in Tronna, [thats how the wifes relates in eastern Canada say Toronto]. After ole Red became famous, and let the world know the value of duct tape, I had to re-arange my whole tool box around a roll of that stuff, why ole SBugusta should maybe look at gettin a couple or so rolls, sure looks to me like he could use a bunch. Maybe we should all get together and send him a roll, or two, seein's thats what this here site is all about, helpin' one another, by golly, maybe he could post his snail mail addy, and we could all do that! And, if there is any left over we could use it to start a tape fund to help other listers in trouble, that is one crackerjack idea I got there!!! Have a gooder, R.E.L.

By gum, that's the best advise I've heard since my mother told me to always wear clean underwear in case I got into an accident!! Yup, that old boy will be ok if he just follows along with what you told him. That's what makes this site so great, ya' need a little guidance and someone's right there to help. It's obvious to me that you have professional training in this area.

Reminds me of the song by Bob Dillon, "Everything is Broken." Yes I've listened to it many times and laughed. Theres always a solution. Many times the more stuff that you own, owns you. Good luck. At least the fixable solutions are apparant with no mysteries (as with todays complex cars) involved.
