What a deal. I found a yardsale table saw for $50. Craftsman, 10", cast iron deck, spindle drive, table extension wings, 110/220v motor, floor stand and accessories. This is the old style and it cuts real true.

About a $300 value.

What are some of your great yardsale finds?

Bought a like new chain link 6'x 8' dog kennel last saturday for $15 for the new female lab. Had to go home and get the pickup truck and it was still there. Now got to find connectors to connect the sections together. Got any suggestions? Sears?

That's where I found my wife. That was about 10 years ago. I think it was a good deal, but it sure was not free!

Craftsman typically doesn't go very high at resale because most people recognize that is a low end name. Older ones are much better, but the newer saws (table or radial arm) are worth very little, they just aren't good tools.

Just came back from yard sale this last saturday.
Picked up a Craftsman Tool Chest for $5.00.. It has about 5 drawers, and stand about 3-4 ft tall.

I've gotten lots of deals you wouldn't believe, buta few highlights:

Rockwell 10", 1.5HP contractor's saw for $10. Needs new bearings and arbor, but I'm way ahead.

Stanley No. 7 plane for free out of scrap bin.

Jonsered 111 Super chainsaw (huge saw 110cc, 6.7 CID) for $35 off eBay.

DeWalt DW402 angle grinder off eBay for $15.

I bought a pair of binoculars at a yard sale once. They were the compact type that hunters carry. I gave 10.00 for them. I didn't even look for the brand. I figured they were a cheap off brand that no one had ever heard of. I got them home and discovered they were Leopolds. Prob'ly sold new for around 200.00.

I bought one at an auction about 20 years ago for $250. I would like one or two more extions.
