A trucker once told me about "slip plate" paint used to paint the insides of hopper cars to keep them slick. I have asked at a few paint stores, but no one has heard of it. Does anyone know where I could get this?

It is graphite in a spray can. We use on our IH cyclo planter to lube where the drum seal rubs on the planter. Available at the local Farmers Union, CaseIH, or just about any decent parts place.

It comes in a spray can, too. I use it to lube up the pins on 3-point implements as well as balls on the lower control arms of the 3-point hitch. Makes things go on a lot easier. Also it's not sticky when it dries, hence it doesn't attrack dirt/dust. Always finding new uses for the stuff.

I get it at the local farm supply store. I think I've seen it for sale through mail order companies, too.

I bought three cans of it from QFF when they were having their liquidation sale. I'm going to use some of it on my Lawn-Boy's deck as soon as I get the #@$*&! muffler off.

Check your implament dealers ( JD IH ) since the Town and Country stores went out of business that is the only place that I know where to find it. Yes does work great for many places that slide such as truck boxes gate latches, etc. Good luck. Chris .

Use the Google search engine, type in "slip plate paint". It's a graphite base paint which causes the slip. The sites where to buy, how it works are all there.
