Here's what I got going on. I have two Honda generators (Both Bad) #1 The first 11hp 5000w motor runs, gen bad. #2 The second 8hp 3000w motor ran out of oil and currently in boxes, gen ok. My fisrt thought take eng from #1 put with gen from #2. Upside should work with little hassle /expense. Downside only 3kw with 11hp eng. My second thought spend money to get the gen on #1 fixed (at least $300.00) maybe rebuild 8hp and use eng on a chipper that has a dead 5hp.
I think if I had a good manual I could rebuild the 8hp. I know that the shafts are tapered and would need a different pulley. I just hate to toss something if I can rebuild it.

Thanks for ANY thoughts on subject and please let me know where I could get a good manual for the engines.

Thanks alot

You can purchase a new 5000W Honda with warranty for $1300.00 US from Mayberry's Link in New Jersy. If up to Canada Link with exchange on the dollar/peso and suggested retail of $1870.00 Can, then finding one on sale/discount would be even a better bargain. Selling the two dud's for parts & have a new generator for the cost of repairing one dud will save many headaches.

Hi John, check out per.com. Real good small engine forum there. They also carry parts. I have heard that Honda parts are expensive. Good luck.
