Considering the purchase of an air nibbler from
Northern Tools or Harbor Freight. Anyone had
any experience with these is cutting sheet metal?
Also, where do you get the replacements for
the punch and die? Thanks for your help.

They use a ton of air, so you can only make short cuts or have a big tank on your compresser. I also have the one from England that runs off a 1/2 in. hand drill. It has clamps to hold it to the table. Works great.
Remember to use thined cutting oil on steel and karosene with a bit of oil for alumium. The punch and die last longer and the aluminum won't bite and jam you up.

I bought one this past summer that chucks up in a drill motor. It seems to work OK.

My Chicago has very little use on it overall, but I think it works well. I ordered a spare bit from Harbor the day I ordered the Nibbler. Now all I have to do is find it when I need it!
