Got one & love it! Got rich so I'm getting a 250, but will keep my handy Hobart - plug it in anywhere! Use the Argon/CO2 gas.....Have a ball!

I am very pleased with mine. I went back and forth between this one and the 220 volt one. I am glad I got this one because I can move it where I want it. I found that a major difference between this and a stick welder is that you can't just put a long lead on the MIG to go where you want. I had not considered this, so the 135 worked out great for me. I have used both the flux cored and solid wire, they both are good, but in different applications.

Hi Arn, I would suggest using gas and bare wire. I tried the flux core wire and plain old co2 is much better. I have a Hobart 200 amp machine, 15 years old and still going strong. I run at 100 amps with .035 wire. It draws 17 amps at 240 volts ac input.

A 120 volt machine would be nice for taking outside.
Check the duty cycle some are 20%, others are 60%. 60% means you can weld 6 min. out of 10 min. You may find yourself doing more welding then you first thought; I know I did. Regards, Mike

Got one bout yr ago. Very pleased. Make sure you have a 20amp outlet for it. Have you looked at the Hobart site? Take a look..
