Few years back, a fellow working my farm broke an SK breaker bar, and just threw it down - left it.
since my father-in-law had an SK dealer with which he did quite a bit of business, I had him take it in for replacement. First thing dealer asked was "Where's your receipt?" Needless to say, I don't have a replaced SK breaker bar. Bet there's an awful lot of "guaranteed" tools out there which would never get replaced if they had to have a receipt!

I just had a 1/2" breakerbar and metric socket replaced. Took it to my local auto parts dealer, just happened that the S&K rep was there. He replaced them, no questions asked and I didn't have a receipt.

If I was you I'd go to another dealer.

I have always heard that "SK" is life time waranty. Unless it's something that is obviously abuse which is not unuasal (spelling??) for most company's including sears.I would locte somebody in your area that is a dealer, call, ask, and if it is a lifer; return what you need replaced

I will see if I can find any SK dealers. I was attemping to remove a 3/4" bolt from my tractor with a rachet when the SK 1/2" ext. broke. Tore up my right hand and cut a nice gash in my left hand when it broke. I was putting all I had into it when it gave.
