rod:

you only need a 2 spool valve as the 2 single acting cylinders only power in one direction(but you knew that). you also do not need a float position on the lift spool if you use the lift mechanism that came with the plow. they are lifted by a chain so the plow is free to move up anytime.

Sorry to disagree with you but - - - The origional control in pickup trucks had a float. Think about it this way if you didn't have float when you lowered the blade it would go down to what ever road level it was then at. The lift chain on the plow would let plow ride over higher road levels but with out float the lift cylinder couldn't go down any farther so it wouldn't let the blade go down for dips in the road. You could replace the lift cylinder with a two way cylinder and then run it all the way down each time. - Expensive and slow - I found out the hard way when I had a meyer plow on a Ford 3000 and the remote didn't have the float working. Took several weeks to get the right parts. Plowing was a pain.
Sorry for the long post.

You need a two spool. One should have float to allow the lift cylinder to move with road level. The other controls the turn cylinders they work together - one in the other out. Good luck.
