Anyone have any info on this? Got it running strong today. I bought it for $80, Looks to be well built, all cast aluminum housings and covers, anybody know of a website for homelite info? I cant imagine there would be many enthusiests for chainsaws. I'd like to find out year and specs if possible. Thanks!

330 a good saw. Had bearing trouble in one out of abt 50 saws sold. The early ones had a air filter that was dificult to clean. Improve A/F has worked fine in Kansas. The rubber like connector between the carb & cylinder does need replacement occasionally like any rubber item.

330 is a heavy saw for it's power. Keep air filter clean or intake boot under carburetor will perforate. Does not like to be pushed, so keep chain very sharp and bar life will greatly extended. Not a bad saw, no great power. Bearings also a problem, but all stems from dirty air filter. Maintain properly and use it for years.

Hi Mike,
The old Homelites are o.k. but the new ones are junk. I have an XL and a Super 2. Both are more than 20 years old and run good. A new Stihl or Husky will make you realize how much saws have improved. Not familar with the 330. Good luck.

Mike, it`s blasphemous for you to imagine that there wouldn`t be many chainsaw enthusiasts. There are two Homelite experts that I know of right off hand at www.arboristsite.com in the chainsaw forum. If noone answers here, try there. Russ
