Removing scale and rust HELP!

I recently aquired several expansion chambers for an old go kart I'm restoring. Question, How can I remove the rust from inside these pipes, I can't sand blast, because I may not get all the sand out and it may find its way back into the motor.
Is there a way to submurse these into a solution and let the rust disolve or be removed?
Thanks in advance,

You are looking for TREACLE. Treacle is a mixture of Molasses and water. I can't remember the dilution but I think it is four to one. Soak the part in the treacle for about a week or two and no more rust. Neal

Sounds like an application for some electrolysis action - look in the archives, there's been discussion in the past.

Hi Jeff,

Sure is buts it's really expensive and difficult to use. LOL

Vinegar disolves rust! doesn't matter what kind of vinegar. Just rinse with water then heat dry then oil/paint to keep from rusting until used.
Depending on how thick the rust is, a couple days soaking would be normal. Turns the rust into a black oxide goo.
