Has anyone out there used a plow blade attached to their ATV to move snow and dirt around? How well do they work on snow? On dirt? Was the blade worth the investment? Thanks, Matt

Been using a Kawasaki 300 4x4 for the last 3 years to plow my driveway. I have 600+ feet of blacktop with a steep hill. It is much faster than the ACWD45 with a back blade and Case Uni-loader. I don't lose traction on the hill like with the AC or Case and I don't need to use chains that tear up my blacktop. I've tried to use it for dirt, but did not like the way it performed. My $.02 krum

I've never owned one, but from an engineering standpoint, it's a bad idea. The gearing and bearings are sized for high power, high rpm, light weight, not low speed, high drawbar loads. I'd think a GARDEN (not lawn)tractor would be more suitable.

I have one on a Honda 350 4 x 4 and it works real good for moving snow. However, when the pushing really gets tough the back end just about comes of the ground. I would say 4 x 4 is a must because of the way the blade transfers weight to front tires when pushing.

Two neighbors have them, one on a Honda, the other on a Yamaha. They keep their driveways plowed all winter with 'em here in Maine.

Dunno about plowing dirt with 'em, they look a little light duty to me for that sort of work.

My neighbor has one on his Honda. He says it works real good, and I've seen it in action. I don't know if it'll beat my Agro Trend 3 point blower though...

I used a buddy's to finish grade backfill on our new basement. Didn't work while clay was wet, but after rough fill with tractor, clay had dried some, and ATV w/blade worked GREAT for final work. Got right up to house w/out worrying about caving in foundation or hitting siding. Low gear, and manual shift is pretty important, as I don't think my Polaris (automatic) would have handled this slow heavy work as well...
