Thanks for the help. Went to Walmart this morning. Believe it or not, they had the Oregon chains for my saw. I got a twin pack for $21.96 plus tax. Not a bad deal.

Didn't realize they would carry them.

I went to our local WalMart before I ordered from Commercial Cutters. You were fortunate to find your chain size. Ours didn't have much of a selection although the prices were good! Looked as though they were discontinuing the line. Glad you found what you needed!

If you know the pitch, gauge, number of drive links, and the style you want, there are several places. The pitch and gauge should be on the bar somewhere and you can always count the drive links. Check out the Oregon site to decide what style and model number you want. Their URL is www.oregonchain.com. Try the link below for a good source. Russ

Thanks,

I need an "S56" (91VG-056G) I believe that's the low kickback variety. Mine's a 3/8" pitch and is on a 16" bar.

I think I'll head to Walmart and give them a try.

Later,
Tyman

91VG is low-kickback EP chain, not 3/8. The "56" is the number of drive links.

I'm going to stay quiet about Poulan chainsaws, 91VG chain, and buying it at WalMart...

For some reason the link didn`t post. Cut and paste this. www.lawnandgardenparts.com for reasonable Oregon prices. I know that sites like this need to protect their sponsors to stay alive, but I haven`t seen any of the sponsors here selling Oregon chain so I think the protection is carried just a little too far. gotta enter something in the title box, too. no restrictions as long as it's 'on-topic', if you get my drift.
