Milwaukee power tools ... I'm impressed.

I've had an 18v. set of cordless Milwaukee power tools for about two years now - and they've seen alot of use.

The battery charger quit on me the other day, and I went to the Milwaukee service center here in Dallas, TX, and they swapped the old charger out with a new one - no charge, and no problems.

I'm impressed!

I like their tools, Milwaukee is the home of Evinrude, which I like, but, sadly, I don't like their beer... Isn't like I didn't try to like it though!!!

Anyway, Milwaukee is slow to incorporate innovations. But, if the tool has the features, the quality seems superior.

My first Milwaukee was a 1/2" drill, a Magnum! My drill has an EXTRA set of brushes mounted inside the brush cover. Do their cordless tools have these also? Also, their unique detachable power cord reaks of "this is a tool that will have precious little down time". I SAT on that drill for 1/2 hour once drilling through a grade eight set screw. It had no business surviving that kind of abuse, never flinched, my extra set of brushes are still unused.

Went to a service center to buy a replacement part (idiot friend broke the reverse switch, not an inherent problem in design) for that drill when it was 8 years old. Had it instock, great directions, reasonably priced, would have installed it for free on the spot if I had the drill with me.

Ya, could say I'm a fan.

I too am duly impressed with both their workmanship and customer service. When drilling 1" holes in my shop floor I burnt up 2 previous hammer drills.

Bit the bullet and bought a Milwaukee and have been satisfied ever since. I am planning to retrofit my entire shop to MLWKE over time. Best power tools I have ever used.
