Never found anything on the subject of converting a bumper pull to a gooseneck through the various internet search engines. Was going through various sites/ discussion board archives & found this. Thought I'd pass it along.....It looks like the solution....

Doesn't say what it's rated at, can't see it being sound enough for more than 3000#????

not sure about this particural brand but have seen these rated for a 12000 pound travel trailer i dont see why something like that would not work i have thought about making one but it would be made out of 6 or 8 inch channel or maybe 6x2 square tubing . i have changed several bumperhiches to goose necks its not all that hard

Was curious if you remember where else you may have seen this sort of thing. I checked & 12,000 GVW with 1700# tongue weight. Agreeing with the other observations it looks a little skimpy... Price of $1400 does not make one want to get in line to sign up for one either. Then again this was the first one I'd found. There must be more out there....

I'm not much of a welder, but I agree with you. The model on the web site just looks very weak to me, and the fold-down part of it makes it look even weaker to me! There is a lot of stress on those sharp corners, they just don't look strong enough on the web picture. When you see the side of a pickup opened up like a tin can because a strong goose neck broke off, you wonder about a little folding one like that...
