Bought a Stinger 2 gallon wet/dry vac at Home Depot. Made by Emerson, model WD 2000. Made in Mexico. Had not expected it to be very powerful, but it is even less so. There is no gasket between to the top and bottom. Called Emerson to see if mine is missing. They said that it is not equipped with a gasket. Any of you have experience with this vacuum or with more than one brand of these small vacuums? Am considering making a gasket for mine. May test it with wrap of duct tape outside first.

Take the thing back. Home Depot will take it back no questions asked. You won't even have to tell 'em it's junk!

I have used Shop-Vac brand wet-dry vacs of sizes ranging from one gallon to sixteen gallons and have not had any complaints, with the exception of that @#^!$ circular disk filter system - but that was several years ago. I think they all use cartridge filters now.

I am requesting a location and price of a small vacuum cleaner that could be used to clean musical equipment: guitars, bass, eight track digital recorder, etc.
Thank You
