Anyone know what store(s) carries this brand of ratchet or have the U.S. distributor's information? It's an el cheapo brand made in Taiwan but I believe it carries a lifetime warranty. Thanks!

that's a canadian brand sold only at CANADIAN TIRE stores. they have a lifetime warranty. if you don't live near canada, how about shipping it to a canadian & have them take it in to be replaced.it might be cheaper to throw it away and buy a new one.

teadave is correct. MasterCraft is the lifetime guaranteed line of tools sold by Canadian Tire here in Canada. Almost every good sized town has a Canadian Tire outlet here in Ontario and probably across the country. No questions asked , just return it for replacement at no cost. Unfortunatley,MasterCraft , like Craftsman, are of poorer quality than they used to be. Still have a set of Craftsman 1/2"drive purchased by my father in 1950 that are far better quality than anything on to-days market.

Absolutely everything I have seen in Canadian Tire recently has been made in China. They do have a few nice IR and CH compressors though.

I would call ahead. I think it's Master Mechanic tools that True Value carries.
