Fiiend of mine has a THD on a NH 66 bailer which needs a rebuild. Engine autopsy showed worn out crank & rod bearings, scored crank cyl. walls. Question is if the engine is worth rebuilding? Are oversize bearings & rings still available at reasonable cost? The engine is complete but just tired. Seems a shame to junk it. Advice needed.

you would be better to pick up some used ones i will have 3 to sell that way you have parts or get a good used running one. Gasket rings etc is not bad if you do your wn work. but machine work is more than there worth. Just as an aside i may have a baler with one on it to resell too. contact me if you want.

Thanks for the info. & offer Havvey. Think maybe we will put a PTO setup on the bailer and be done with it. Next thing will be to try to find the bolt-on slip clutch & PTO shaft for the bailer (old NH 66).
