I would like to know some more info. on the stationary engine company called Sandow. I have a 1 1/2 hp that runs great. I would like to hookup with others that enjoy these old engines.
Thanks,
Raz

BTW I am also looking for a good flatbelt or of a known place that still makes them.

I realize this is late in the game as you must have posted in June. I know of a few Sandows, and have a 4 1/2 HP. Sandy Mc Mantis (spelling) had a mail order business. Your engine is a Waterloo Boy with a few changes and different paint job. It came from the same assembly line. Sandy I have heard was a some what shady charater to say the least. I can look up lots of information if I can get the time. If you find a copy of the Engine encycypodia by Chuck Wendel from Atkins Ia. you must look under Sandy Mc Mantis---Not Sandow --I seldom get to this site, but visit JD very often, give me a yell if you get this post. There is a site called Smoke Stack also that is dedicated to Hit & miss. Dave NE IA
