I am looking for a manual to cover a Wisconsin AC4S. I have searched the net and can find manuals for ACN engines but I am not sure if this would be the same. Information about finding a manual or if someone knows if the ACN is the same would be great.

Thanks

I don't know about the "S", but I know where there are a few AC4s out in the fields. Has nothing in common with the ACN. AC4 is the first in-line, four cylinder, valve-in-head engine that Wisonsin built starting around 1934. Has about 16 horsepower. The "S" probably stands for stellite valves. ACN is a 6 horsepower single cylinder engine that was first made around 1955. I've got a few of them laying in my barn.

Thanks for the info. I am surprised that a manual seems to be so hard to find due to the great numbers of these manufactured.

I tried to respond to you with a website address for a book, but this d*mn forum erased my post twice. Seems it does so automatically when any URL is included? Gee, seems it would be nice to give some warning.

I have allowed my email to show if you would send the manual location to me directly.
Thanks
