United States Motor co ?

Anyone know any history of the United States Motor co ? I found a small genset with a 30's-40's style, single cylinder Briggs & Stratton engine with the small round generator head directly mounted on the engine. It is painted orange and has stud terminals for 110 AC and 6V DC. A Google search brings up nothing about this company. I believe the ID tag said that the United States Motor co was based in Wisconsin.

That is the best lead I have had yet. US Motors being a builder of all types of AC and DC electric motors,would have no problem building generator heads. The company history makes no mention of building gensets,but that doesnt mean the did not. I think the genset had a Wisconsin address and todays US Motors has a California address,but many things change over 70 years time. Thanks for taking the time to research it.
