Can anyone help me with any info on this garden tractor or engine are the parts still available? I want the mag as the HT lead has melted to the exhuast can this be repaired?Type of spark plug and gap.Points and gap. Can you help me please?

You can replace the plug wire on the magneto coil. You will have to pull the flywheel to gain access to the coil. The wire of the plug wire is wrapped on the terminal on the coil. When you replace the plug wire DO NOT solder the new wire to the coil terminal. This is not needed and if you do can destroy the coil. The coil is no longer available from Briggs. There are some supplier who have NOS coils but they are pricey at about $150 US.
