Rod Bearing Lubrication for IHC M 1 1/2

I am puzzled as to how the rod bearing in my 1918 IHC M 1 1/2 gets grease (ignotor/kerosene engine). I also have a 1930 M (gas) and it has a grease cup on the end of the crankshaft to grease the rod. The 1918 M does not appear to have that feature. However there is a 1/8" hole in the crank/rod bearing surface that goes somewhere. I have filed all the other cups and cranked them down and see grease coming out of all the other bearings with the exception of the rod bearing. Haven't had this engine running yet but would like to solve this mystery before I get her going. Anyone know?
