Years ago I was able to buy a manual that was called an instruction book and parts list for Wisconsin engines. Up here the dealer tells me they are no longer available. Can you still get them for the V465 and also the current V4s? Or was the dealer telling me the truth?

Jerry,
If you will email me with the models you want manuals for, I will check with my Wisconsin distributor and see what is still available.
Jim

Has Wisconsin stopped printing these manuals? I would like to get one for the V465 and the VH4.

Manuals for the VH4D and V465D are available from Wis-Con Total Power; $16.50 each. In fact, they still produce these particular engines.

I do have to say that the older manuals had parts lists for accessories like reduction units, clutches, magnetos, etc; which are not in the newer ones.

Thanks, the reason I was asking was that I was told by the wisconsin total power in MN that they are not available. The manuals are on those transparent pages. I will throw away a Wisconsin engine before I take one to the dealer to have it fixed. I han a 1947 VP4 30 horse on a saw that was giving me fits. I took it off and put a Ford in-line six in it's place. No more problems.

Your local dealer can still get you new copies. I personally find the printing quality & somtimes the content (especially on the older motors) to be better in the older manuals. Plus. they are often cheaper, and it just seems right to buy old manuals for old motors. Te models you mention are new enough that it may not make much diffeence though.

Does that mean e-bay is the only place you can buy them?
