I have 2 John Deere Model E Gas Engines serial No. 281708 and 269327. How can I find out what year they were built? Is there anyplace I can obtain information on these engines?

Jerry, you have a early 1927 and a early 1928, whatever you need to know about these engines please do not hesitate to ask as i have about 53 of these and have restored many. your engines do not have the breather on top as they came out in 1933. i also have parted out over 75 of these engines and always have a few spare parts on hand and even N.O.S
