I work in the oilfields for a guy and he runs what we call 118's. I'd like to know who made these engines.

the 118 your refering to is a fairbanks morse engine, about 7hp. these engines were made in the 1940"s . I believe they stoped making them about 1948. many of these were used during ww2 with generators. I have one of these engines and they run very well on gasoline or propane.

Have just recently purchased 118 engine & need to get it running.will rebuld carb first than put mag back on. engine has been sitting out but has good compression. I have no knowledge of this engine but work on others.I guess i will eventually figure it out !!!!! any advice ?
